Event Type Symbols

Symbols are used to represent various types of events on the planet you are exploring. If you pay 2 energy to use the Planetary Information Scanner, it also uses these symbols to tell you what type of events you may expect on your mission.

Caves – including underground tunnels and structures
Deadly – a minor suit malfunction in this environment could cause death
Desert – including arid plains
Frigid – extremely low temperatures – can include water or methane ice or snow (impeding travel)
Rocky – sharp rocks or steep mountains
Ruins – from alien civilizations – may include ancient mechanisms
Vegetation – forests, jungles, tundra, lush fields of plants
Void – space based zero G locations or conditions with little gravity
Volcanic – high temperature locations with lava or seismic activity
Water – coastal or underwater conditions or a very thick water like atmosphere
Terran – Earth like conditions with abundant life and no need for full exploration suits
Tutorial – only used during the first tutorial
Hostile – unfriendly locals are a problem in this Sector
